INETCON 2017 FOR EDUCATION TOURISM

Many teachers hailing from the different parts of the country attended on the first ever International English Teachers Conference held last August 18-20, 2017 at the Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City.  This is a national event by Vivixx Academy, headed by our Baguio English Schools Association, and even our beloved president extended his support.

INETCON 2017 caters on how our English teachers can help their students learn English more efficiently and effectively.  The teachers who attended are teaching in English subject for any level and also ESL teachers.  This conference tackled on Speaking Class focusing on Oral Proficiency Development, Intervention Measures and Assessment Systems.

It was said that Oral Proficiency develops at home through our parents.  And if you have the initiative and the willingness to learn a certain language, you can make it.  In this situation, you don’t need to wait for a particular proficiency level to use the language.  Use it anyway, and mistakes are only proof that you are trying.

What can be an intervention measure to help your student learn better?  It is through corrective feedback, where an effective example is to let your students answer a question.  From there, you can assess if there is improvement on their speaking skills and proficiency of the English Language.

English learning providers are booming nowadays, that is why this conference is very timely and relevant for providing the language studies better.  And here in the City of Baguio made this English Education a part of the city’s growing tourism aspects, the Education Tourism.
