BECI – Reset, Reboot, Unwind: Travelling and Learning at a Pace

People always ask how travel has changed a person. Studying away from home simply teaches you how to be happy. You’ll become more relaxed, more confident, and see the world as a brighter place. How can you not be happy about life after all of that?

Lady Campus students went on a food and art haul as they familiarize themselves with 2 local restaurants which are filled with art, exhibit creativity and imagination. They started the day by indulging on a 1.2 kg beef burger served in Ili-likha Artist village. Despite not liking to eat too much food, they ate the Baguio’s biggest and heaviest burger together. What’s the purpose of life if not to break out of your comfort zone? Their bellies were filled for ages, but they’ll do it again!

They went around the village to discover a cinema inside a wooden ship! They also saw various artworks by the collaborative efforts of local artists headed by the owner, Kidlat Tahimik (Literally means Silent Thunder).

Simply put, their day is a lot more awesome now than it used to be!

They also visited Vocaz (Oh My Gulay), a restaurant with its main advocate to serve all organic and vegetable based food. Its environment is not only enticing but is also a picture perfect location for dining customers.

By the latter half of the day, the students went to a mini-theme park located at Burnham Park. There were various rides for them to try! There were thrilling ones and some bumpy rides as well. With a fee as low as 20 pesos, they were also able to player skill and luck games where they can win amazing prizes!

To end their day, they enjoyed a sumptuous Huo Guo (Chinese Hot Pot) dinner in the Lady’s campus. Their day was a hell of a joy ride and an adventure. They learned to make friends out of classmates, strangers and get more comfortable talking to new people.

The students were able to go with the flow now, because if travel taught them something, it’s that it all learning starts with a memorable experience.
