by Chen (Taiwan/22/12weeks)

[About CNSⅡ]

Please, introduce yourself.

My name is Chen, a Taiwanese student. I have already stayed here for two months.

Why are you studying IELTS?

I plan to apply my master degree which requires IELTS score, so I came to this academy to prepare for my future. At the same time, I can improve my English skills here. I hope I can achieve the IELTS score of 6.5.

How did you know CNSⅡ for the first time, and why did you choose this academy?

Through online. To begin with, I decided to come to Baguio where the weather is not so hot because I do not like hot temperature. Then, I wanted to stay in the center of the city. Lastly, the number of students in the CNSⅡ is not too many. So, CNSⅡ is my best choice.

What is your plan after finishing the study in CNS Ⅱ?

I will take a real IELTS in Taipei. Depending on the score, I will decide which country to go and which university to enroll. I want to study Marketing as my major.

[About the IELTS course]

While studying at CNSⅡ for the last 9 weeks, how did you feel?

After studying here for one month, I began to get stressed. Before I came here, I never take a real IELTS. I was not familiar with the questions in IELTS. Now, I know how to improve my score.

Which class is the most effective to study?

Writing, because there are different types of questions. Teachers teach me writing skills on how to solve these types. It’s very effective for me.

As a student, what is the most effective point while studying in CNS Ⅱ?

Speaking was improved dramatically. We are in an entirely English speaking environment. When I want to talk to other students, I must speak English, otherwise, I can’t communicate with people. In Taiwan, we don’t have this kind of environment.

Who is your best teacher? And why do you think so?

Because I just came here for one month, I cannot say who is the best.

[Secrets to improve an IELTS score]

What was your weakest subject and how did you improve this one?

I think every subject is my weakest point. Even though, the teacher can teach me methods on how to solve these problems.

[Tips for new students]

Based on your experience, how about Baguio?

Safer than Manila. Sometimes, I went out to purchase personal things by myself at night. The weather is suitable to live in. On the other hand, the air is not clean because of the fume gas. There are not many places to enjoy so I can focus on my study.

Before coming to CNS, what should new students prepare for successful study?

Taking some warm clothes and a hairdryer. Notice the electric voltage because it is different in Taiwan.
