A&J – Studying English as a Second Language
Could you please introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m Tristan, but my real name is Bui Tanh Tri. I came from Vietnam and studied at Cong Thuong College which literally means Industry and Trade and graduated from Kinh Bac University with an undergraduate degree in Accounting. I worked for a Japanese company that deals with management buildings for more than 2 years. The company name is Anabuki NL. Now, I am 31 years old and studying English as a Second Language in A&J English Academy.
Why did you choose the Philippines to study the English Language?
I know the Philippines’ 2nd language is English. I think communicating and learning from Filipinos has a great advantage. We can use English everywhere here. What I know here is teachers are well experienced and qualified in the specific skills.
What do you think about Baguio City as the Summer Capital of the Philippines?
Baguio is very comfortable, cool unlike Manila – the City of the Philippines. Baguio City actually reminds me of Da Lat City of Vietnam because of similarities of weather and it’s also 6 hrs like Manila to Baguio.
Why did you choose A&J English Academy?
Study fee is quite cheaper here, and the places are comfortable. I was also informed about this Academy by an Educational Agency in Vietnam.
What do you usually do on the weekends?
I always hang out with my Vietnamese friends. On Saturday and Sunday, we usually head out for sightseeing, go to malls. I also experience going to the clubs here and drank beer with my friends and discovered some new places around the city.
Where is your favorite place to hang out in Baguio?
I’ve only been here for one week now. So I don’t have a favorite place yet.
Could you tell me your plans after graduation from A&J Academy?
I will definitely go back to Vietnam. Find a better job opportunity and continue to work as a Human Resource Specialist.
One last Question, do you have comments/suggestions for new students who want to study in A&J.
Speak English most of the time and you will definitely improve and do good in learning English. Don’t speak in your mother tongue. Please, always use English all the time.
