July is ending and one of the news we would like to share is the successful English journey of our Global English Junior Campers from Taiwan.
The 4-week study course program aims to enhance the young learners’ Basic English skills that will make them gain language proficiency and the sense of independence at least for summer.

After calling their parents for the first time, our Taiwanese juniors mingled with their batch mates and their dynamic stay-in teachers.
Academic Diary
Our beloved junior students took their standardized English test that includes listening, reading, writing and computer-based speaking test.
Students attend their 1 on 1 and 4 on 1 classes on weekdays. Every session is filled with new learning experiences. They have learned new idiomatic expressions in their 1 on 1 class and did their best as well to express themselves in their discussion class. Did they experience challenges?
Perhaps they did, but we have ways in making their language training balanced through weekday activities that involve breaks, food tasting and games.
Alternative English Learning
English learning is not just implemented in classrooms. They have experienced alternative ways of English learning like watching movies. In fact, they enjoyed their first in-house movie night. They watched “The Greatest Showman”.
We also give them the chance to meet fellow global campers. They met the Mongolian Juniors and had a sport match. Through these kinds of activities, English interaction is implemented.

They were also able to have a great time acquainting with Korean Juniors in one of the cozy evening gatherings
Developing Self Confidence
The Taiwanese Juniors had completed their presentation. Through the activity, the students were able to apply the English expressions they have learned. Everybody had the moment on the spotlight upon presenting one’s chosen topic.
Weekend Trips
Weekend trips and activities are provided to let them discover the beauty of studying abroad.
First Weekend
Pines is just few meters away from top city destinations like PH President’s Mansion, Wright Park and Botanical Garden. Our Juniors enjoyed sightseeing and spending time with their friends in these places.
They visited local museums that made them learn about arts and other contents that have made them culturally aware and informed.
We believe that our students deserve the best treat after their first week-long study period. For their weekend dining, they went to 456 Restaurant that serves one of the best Asian Cuisines in the city.
Our Global English Campers played mini-golf in Camp John Hay! We make sure that our Junior students get to try new and exciting activities around the lovely Baguio City.
Second Weekend
The best way to have Rest & Relaxation after a week full of English learning? Go swimming. Pines’ junior students spent the weekend beating the heat at Asin River View Resort.
Third Weekend
We always reward our students with lovely weekends because they study hard on weekdays. Visiting premier resorts like Kultura Splash Wave made them relax and still use the English language with their fellow Global Campers from Korea and Mongolia.
English Camp Values

How do we provide the best English Camp experience? One of the ways is letting our students mingle and develop sportsmanship.
