English Learning Environment
I had a unique experience celebrating the Christmas Season by interacting with foreign students.

I attended Christmas party with teachers and students. I am so happy that I made new friends by attending the event.

There is a constant reminder for us to speak in English because of English Only Policy. I need to speak in English the entire day as there are some staffs monitoring us.

Course Information
Upon finishing my placement test , I logged to my Pines Portal account and was able to check my English level, classroom details and schedule.

I’m taking Power ESL course. Power ESL course has a total of 8 sessions of regular day time classes. I attend 4 sessions of 1 on 1 classes and 4 sessions of group classes. Through the course, I have learned ways of improving my speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. My Filipino teachers are very kind. Their kindness have made me more eager to learn the English language, and their method have also made me understand grammar rules and idiomatic expressions.

I have tried Spartan and Semi Spartan program. Choosing Spartan program means attending night option class and self-study session, but later on, I have switched to the Semi-spartan program because I want my evening time to be spent for self-studying and doing homework.

In-Campus Facilities
Pines has complete set of facilities that support our daily activities
Snacks and daily necessities are sold in the convenient store on the ground floor.

I go to the gym on the second floor to exercise if it’s my free time.

For someone who likes coffee there is an in-house cafe on the third floor, so I always hangout there for self-studying and drinking coffee.

Convenient Lifestyle
Students look forward to touring the city and eating out with friends on weekends. In this case, main campus has a convenient location, so it gives us chance to explore restaurants nearby. I had tried many Italian restaurants here, but I guess the best one is Secret Garden Resto & Cafe. It is located on South Drive Road, around 1.8 kilometers from main campus. You can either take a 10-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk going there.

Secret Garden is an Italian restaurant that offers peace and quiet atmosphere.

I think this place is amazing, homey and inexpensive. We have tried their cabonara, tomato-based pasta, pork rib and mushroom soup. The food was good, and I really love their mushroom soup. I will go there again for sure.

Over-all, I am satisfied with my learning experience at Pines Main Campus.
Wait for my next review ^_^ I’ll be making one about Chapis Advanced Campus. See you soon~!
